  • Do you want to grow creatively, throw yourself into a project of personal development, and work with beautiful and versatile materials?

Then our 4 Week Course could be the ideal course for you.

Receiving tutelage from the same industry experts with decades of teaching experience that run the full classic diploma course, participants will be equipped with all the skills and training to flourish in their own creative directions. After successful completion of this intensive course, students are awarded the BACS accredited Four Week Diploma (What is BACS?) Students can also make the decision to upgrade to the full Classic Flower Design Course Diploma by completing Module Two of the Classic Flower Design Diploma.

The 4 Week Course concentrates on the contemporary approach when working with flowers. You will take inspiration from modern architecture, fashion, culture and craft. You will be given the practical skills to design arrangements, sculpt with flowers and construct physical pieces that are works of art in their own right.

You’ll learn how to work to a brief, carry out successful event management, and how to source the finest flowers and accessories. Students will work with flowers beyond mere physical arrangement, and toward a source of inspiration for surface design, decoration, and textiles. As such, you will explore how flora can enhance architecture and interior design.

To gain an appreciation of how flowers form a part of so many creative projects and spaces, the course will include site visits to  markets and gardens. There is also the possibility of a live project being integrated into the course for you to see your work outside the studio.

By the end of the course you will have good design skills, a portfolio of sketches, a range of photographs of your work and the knowledge of how to continue your work. This is a studio-based course, though there will be sessions exploring London through the eyes of a floral designer.

No previous experience is necessary – just a willingness to experiment, get involved in group projects, and tap into your creativity to make this exciting medium a modern art form.
